What is Noizio?
Noizio is an app for creating ambient sounds and drowning out annoying noise to help you get in the right mood. No matter where and when you are working, you can turn on Noizio and be more concentrated on your work.
There are 15 enchanting ambient sounds that come with the software, and 20 additional sounds available for purchase. You can easily choose one sound or mix several together. It enables you to sit in the office but be surrounded by your preferred background sounds.
How Does Noizio Work?
After you install Noizio, it will appear in the menu bar. If you click the icon, you can see the sound panel. The main interface is very clean and easy to navigate.
Mix Ambient Sounds
After you click the icon in the menu bar, you can access all unlocked sounds. Just chose the ambient sounds you want and drag the slider to adjust the volume to get started.
You are free to choose one sound or blend several sounds together. There are 15 free ambient sounds: October Rain, Coffee House, Thunderstorm, Campfire, Winter Wind, Sea Waves, River Stream, Summer Night, Sunny Day, Deep Space, Sailing Yacht, Inside Train, Farm, Wind Chimes, and Blue Whales.
For example, you might try mixing the sounds of Campfire and a little bit of Winter Wind to help the office fade away.
There are also 20 locked sounds, of which you have to pay to get access. These are Birds in Park, Space Drone, Clock, Desert, Magical Wind Chimes, Heartbeat, Children Playground, White Noise, Frogs and Crickets, Ship Hull, Subway, Kitty Purr, Tropical Birds, City Street, Night Owls, Vinyl Cracks, Keyboard typing, Old typewriter, Pink Noise, and Ghosty.
With these sounds, you can imagine yourself on a sailing yacht, in a coffee shop, or in a number of other locations. As with the standard sounds, you can adjust the volume and are free to decide which sound you want to be loudest or weakest.
Auto Pause Timer
At the bottom of the interface, there is a clock icon. When you click it, you can set a timer for when you want the sound to stop. This is a great feature if you use white noise for falling asleep, or as a peaceful background reminder of how long you’ve been working.
Save Your Own Sounds
Near the timer, you can also find a save icon. It enables you to save the mixture of the sounds and so that you don’t have to recalibrate them the next time you listen. You can create different sounds for different moods, like when you want to focus, relax, or sleep.

Noizio is made exclusive for macOS, so it’s not available for Windows. You can get it from the Mac App Store.
